FAQ
How long have you been massaging?
I finished my training at Bancroft School Of Massage Therapy in Worcester, Massachusetts in July 2018 and started Summit Performance Therapy in August 2018.
What should I expect in your treatment room?
My massage technique walk the line between Massage Therapy and Physical Therapy. With my background in Exercise Science and Kinesiology, work experience with various Physical Therapists and Chiropractors, and personal experience as a personal trainer, strength and conditioning coach, and strength athlete you will receive a more well-rounded approach to your pain management protocol and “homework”.
You work with a lot of athletes. I am not an athlete, can you still work on me?
100% YES! While a good amount of my clients have an athletic background I can work on anyone that needs bodywork. I have worked on 8 year olds who got hurt on the playground, world class athletes of all sorts, high school kids with growing pains, accountants and lawyers, and great-great-grandmothers
How should I dress/What should I wear for my treatment?
I don’t drape [use sheets] in my practice. All of my work is done either through clothing or on skin while you stay dressed. I also rarely use lotion in my treatment and if I do, it is sparingly. How you should dress depends on the treatment that you are looking for. That being said, I always say that you should come dressed in a way that allows me access to the area you want me to work on. Whether you are more comfortable in yoga pants and a tank top, sports bra and shorts, or just your boxers/briefs, I can make it work. Hell, I have worked through jeans and long sleeve shirts if that is what you want to wear. I will find a way to make your dress comfort level work for my treatment plan.
I like DEEP work. Can you do that for me?
While there is a place for deeper body work, I try my hardest to be effective without causing too much pain or discomfort. My goal is to help you recover and improve from whatever your ailments are, not to make you fly off of my table in pain. You would be surprised how light I can work and still be effective!
